Quoted dan Reported Speech

• Quoted Speech refers to reproducing another person's exact word. Quotation marks are used 

           (Percakapan langsung terhadap orang kedua. Dengan menggunakan tanda kutip)

• Reported Speech refers to reproducing the idea at another person's word. Not all of the exact words are used: Verb forms add pronouns may change. Quotation marks are not used.

         (Percakapan langsung orang kedua untuk menyampaikan pesan dari orang pertama kepada orang ketiga, dan pronouns-nya berubah. Tidak menggunakan tanda kutip)

Example :

- Present Continuous : Jane said to me, " I'm sweeping your room now"

  Past Continuous      : Jane said to me that She sweeping my room then

- Present Perfect       : Mary said to me " I have searched my book that room"

  Past Perfect            : Mary said to me that She had searched her book this room
